What is Patulous Eustachian Tube? The patulous Eustachian tube was first fully described in 1867 by Jago, who himself had this disease. It is more common in females than males and classically presents with symptoms of roaring tinnitus, synchronous with respiration and distorted autophony with echoing which is occasionally serve enough to interfere with speech production. There may be a feeling of fullness in the ear. PJ Robinson said that some patients had mild vertigo and hearing imparement. Most of patients develop neurosis. Some patients find relief when lying down, putting the head between their knees or taking spirits,during catching cold. The symptoms gets worth by athletic,weight loss and pregnancy .
